Grilled Whole Wheat Naan Pizza

Pizza night in your home just got so much easier. Just 20 minutes from start to finish, this Grilled Whole Wheat Naan Pizza recipe is such a quick and easy dinner option that your kids will love, and that they can even help make!

This Naan Pizza made with fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, and whole wheat naan bread is absolutely foolproof and could even be easily customized if you want to try out some other toppings.

Whole wheat naan bread is the star of this pizza recipe. Whole wheat naan bread is full of fiber (more so than if you were to opt for white naan), making it more filling than traditional bread or crusts you would typically use for pizza. You could make your own naan bread if you wish, but there are so many great pre-made options that you could easily find at your local grocery store. Buying pre-made naan bread for this Grilled Whole Wheat Naan Pizza is really what makes this recipe so easy to make since you’re not spending any extra time in the kitchen making pizza dough.

Rather than use a typical tomato sauce for the base of this naan pizza, keeping it simple using just olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, and sliced tomatoes instead, keeps the pizza light and fresh.

Once you have your whole-wheat naan pizza assembled, it’s time to throw it on the grill. Grilling your naan pizza instead of heating it in the oven will give it more of a wood-fired flavor which, if you haven’t had before, is delicious! It also gives the naan bread the perfect crisp texture that really is unlike anything else. Another benefit of the grill? You don’t have to worry about your house getting hot from turning on the oven - perfect for those hot summer months!
