Speaking Engagements

With over a decade of professional stage and screen experience and memberships in the major performing unions (AEA and SAG-AFTRA), Malina shines when speaking to groups large or small. The combination of her warmth, performing talent, nutrition expertise and passion for connecting with people produces engaging and informative keynotes, presentations, workshops, webinars, podcasts and media appearances.

Malina is also a nationally recognized media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and regularly appears and is quoted as a nutrition expert in television spots, radio shows, articles, podcasts and documentaries.

She completed her graduate degree in Clinical Nutrition at New York University and her dietetic internship at the Bronx VA Hospital, where she subsequently worked as an outpatient weight loss and bariatric surgery dietitian. With two undergraduate degrees in Vocal Performance and Comparative Literature from Northwestern University, she has earned the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s two certificates of training in adult weight management. Malina is a mom of three young children, and currently lives in Westchester County, NY.

“Last year as I was looking to hire a Registered Dietitian to help teach our pediatric health curriculum within the Stamford, CT school district, Malina was a natural first-choice. She has since been a huge asset to our team and the kids she teaches thanks to her natural energy and enthusiasm and ability to relate well with both kids and adults. Malina’s ease and comfort with public speaking and her ability to connect with others in the audience are evident in her teaching. I highly recommend her!”

KIDS’ Fitness and Nutrition Services, Stamford Hospital

“Whether counseling her patients in a clinic setting 1:1, or in front of an audience of Veterans, physicians, fellow clinical dietitians or dietetic interns, Malina had the ability communicate information and ideas with originality and creativity yet clarity for the audience she was engaging. All RDN’s should possess the strong nutrition knowledge base required to practice – but not all have that keen ability to translate the complex world of food and science for disease prevention and/or medical nutrition therapy for the lay person – in this area Malina stands out as a gifted nutrition counselor” Jean Curran-Leitch, MS, RDN
