Soft in texture, gluten-free and with no added sugar or salt, these cookies are made with wholesome, minimally processed ingredients. The whole family will enjoy a batch of these BLW Valentine Cookies as a fun and healthy treat at any time of the year!
Ingredients
- 1 cup pitted cherries
- 1 banana
- ½ cup oats
- ½ cup almond flour
- ¼ cup melted butter (can substitute for 1/4 cup coconut oil for vegan)
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F
- In a food processor, add cherries, banana, almond flour, butter and vanilla extract and blend.
- Place mixture into a medium bowl, add oats and mix.
- Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for a total of 20 minutes; 15 minutes into baking, use a non-stick spatula to press each cookie flat, then bake for remaining 5 minutes
- Remove from heat and cool for at least 15 minutes before serving
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days unrefrigerated and up to 1 week in the refrigerator.
