Green Smoothie for People Who Hate Green Smoothies
Do you struggle to get veggies into your daily diet? Don't beat yourself up! There are certain genes that affect how people taste things. The TAS2R38 gene affects levels of sensitivity to a chemical in foods like kale that have a strong bitter taste. If you are a "taster," you may be more sensitive to foods with bitter flavors and/or prefer not to eat them. Recipes like this can provide a solution if you aren't a big fan of the flavor of leafy greens and celery but want to eat them anyway because they offer so many healthy nutrients.
